David Katz, a 24-year-old from Baltimore, Maryland, has been identified as the shooter at the video game tournament which was held in Florida over the weekend.

The suspect who crashed out of the Madden NFL video game tournament in the Florida city, was the Bills Cup Series winner last year. After he lost in the tournament, he opened fire at fellow gamers and bystanders. According to the police, three people, including the gunman, were killed and 11 were wounded by gunfire. Katz’s online profile was ‘Bread’ or ‘RavensChamp’.

During a YouTube livestream of the 2017 tournament, announcers said Bread did not show “much emotion” during his matches.

“David Katz keeps to himself. He’s a man of business,” the announcer said. “He’s not here to make friends.”

“You can’t even get him to open up about anything, it’s like pulling teeth,” the announcer added.

Recall that we reported that the mass shooting at a video game tournament, took place at a shopping and dining complex in downtown Jacksonville, Florida, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said Sunday afternoon. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said on Twitter there were “multiple” fatalities and “many” transported to hospitals.

Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida treated at least three patients that were involved in the gaming shooting incident, Hospital spokesman Pete Moberg tells CNN. All of the patients are in stable condition, Moberg says.

In another tweet. the Jax Sheriff’s Office tweeted:

‘Mass shooting at the Jacksonville Landing. Stay far away from the area. The area is not safe at this time. STAY AWAY #TheLandingMassShooting.’

‘We are finding many people hiding in locked areas at The Landing. We ask you to stay calm, stay where you are hiding. SWAT is doing a methodical search inside The Landing. We will get to you. Please don’t come running out.’

The shooting occurred at the Jacksonville Landing complex during aqualifying event for the Madden 19 Tournament at the GLHF Game Bar, according to the Twitter of CompLexity Gaming, one of the gaming teams. The Landing is an open-air marketplace with stores, bars and restaurants in downtown Jacksonville along the St. Johns River.
